Teresa J. Dlugosinski

Teresa Jane (Flaherty) Dlugosinski, born January 22, 1965 in Fond du Lac, WI passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2023 following an extended illness.

Known as Tess, she graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1983. She would go on to study music at UW-Oshkosh and Marian College. She taught band in both the private and public schools in Fond du Lac, as well as within the Appleton Catholic school system. Tess also worked for several banks with a focus on loan processing.

A lifelong musician, Tess played saxophone, piano, and percussion, having been a member of the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band from 1983 well into the 2000’s. Tess also acted as the band’s Business Manager, making sure all the behind-the-scenes work got done efficiently and effortlessly.

A talented artist, Tess enjoyed making stained glass pieces, water color painting, drawing (mostly birds!), and discovering new music. She also loved her cats and dogs, of which there were many over the years.

On September 9, 2000, Tess married Jim Dlugosinski at the Moravian Church in Sister Bay, WI. Tess and Jim would live in Appleton for a few years, followed by a move back to Fond du Lac in 2003 to be with friends and family.

Tess is survived by her husband, Jim and their schnauzer, Bella; parents, Robert and Jane Flaherty; brother, Tim (Julie) Flaherty and their daughter, Morgan; brother, Bill (Tammy) Flaherty and their daughter, Courteney (Erik) Westby and their daughter, Hazel, and their son, Jake Flaherty and his partner, Lauren Batura and their son, Owen. Tess also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation only will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM.
