Terry L. Bentley

Terry L. Bentley, Sr., 57, of 721 Thorne Street, Ripon, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Ripon Medical Center. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Tiedtville, IL, the son of Myron A. and Arleen R. Mosher Bentley. Terry was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army from February 1968 to January 1970. On May 20, 1987 he married Velvet L. Erspamer in Fond du Lac. He worked as a custodian in factories and in public schools. Terry was a member of the Ripon House of Prayer. He enjoyed music, movies, birds, trinkets and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Velvet, Oshkosh; four children, Terry (Brenda) Bentley, Jr., Ripon, Kerrie Barton, St. Clair, MO, Joseph (Sara) Bentley, Brandon, and Savannah Bentley, Ripon; seven grandchildren, Meagan, Jenna, Hunter, Austin, Evan, Mackenzie and Kasha; three sisters, Velma ( Dick) Phelps, TN, Lila Phelps, TN, and Bonnie Chmielewski, Neenah; four brothers, Myron "Junior" (Salvania) Bentley, TN, Ronny (Pat) Bentley, TN, David (Marcia) Bentley, TN, Mike (Rita) Bentley, IL. and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry is also survived by a good friend Rick Marquardt, Ripon.Terry was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael, three brothers and two sisters.



VISITATION: will be from 4-8p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and from 12:30 to 1:30p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2006 at the funeral home.SERVICES: The funeral service will be held at 1:30p.m. Monday, January 9, 2006 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Koerner officiating. Cremation will follow the services.A memorial will be established in Terry's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
