Theresa A. Wolk

Theresa A. Wolk, 95 years young, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born in LeRoy on September 12, 1918, the daughter of Fred and Giovana Balzon Carrollo. On June 22, 1946 she married Peter Wolk, Jr. in LeRoy. Peter preceded her in death on July 6, 1990. Theresa worked at Oscar’s Tavern for many years as a cook and later for the Fond du Lac Reporter in the mail room. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Church since 1946 and a past member of the Altar Society, Holy Family Bereavement Group and Loaves and Fishes. Theresa enjoyed cooking for other people, going on gambling bus trips but her most enjoyment was spending time with family.



She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Lee) Salzmann, Fond du Lac, Carol (Rollie) Chase, Fond du Lac, and Mary (Mark) Strand, St. Peter; one son-in-law, Bill Gardner, Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Schraufnagel, Lomira; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Popovich, Milwaukee. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews of which includes niece Marie (Tom) Scannell, Fond du Lac and nephew David (Chris) Carrollo, Fond du Lac who were always there for her, dear neighbors Dick and Barb O’Leary, Fond du Lac, and many other special friends who treated her so well. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Janet Gardner; an infant grandchild Jason Chase; one brother Leo Carrollo; one sister Clara Tagliapietra, and three nephews Bob and Leo Carrollo, and Jimmy Schraufnagel.



VISITATION: The visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Mary's Church-Holy Family Parish. FUNERAL: The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will follow in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
