Thomas J. "Tom" HalfmanThomas J. "Tom" Halfman, 64, of 214 N. Main St. in Rosendale died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton. Thomas was born January 26, 1940 in Fond du Lac, a son of Harold and Luella Stellmacher Halfman. On June 13, 1964 he married Maureen "Enie" Madigan at St. Mary's Church in Springvale. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for 25 years for the Soo Line Railroad as an engineer. After his retirement he worked as a real estate agent for Adashun Jones and later became manager of the Rosendale Mutual Insurance Co. until his retirement in 2002. He continued to serve policy holders for Rosendale Mutual and the George Tippler Agency. Tom served on the village board for Rosendale and was a past member of the Elks Club and a current member of Eagles Aerie #270 as well as a past charter member of the Rosendale Lions Club, where he served as president. Tom was a member of St. Mary's Mission Church in Springvale. Tom golfed in several area golf leagues, and enjoyed bowling, gambling, playing cards, walking, traveling, and visiting his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; Maureen "Enie" Halfman of Rosendale, three children; Joe (Michelle) Halfman of Appleton and their children Emily and Alex, Terry (David) Morris of Colgate, WI and their children Drue, Ella, and Addie, Chris (Tracy) Halfman of Valrico, FL, three brothers; Robert (Jean) Halfman of Taycheedah, Richard (Charlotte) Halfman of Jackson, WI, Mike (Judy) Halfman of Horicon, and three sisters; Mary (Howard "Red") Heimmerman of Fond du Lac, Judie McKenna of Northampton, MA, and Carol Halfman of Fond du Lac. His parents preceded him in death.



Family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial Mass: Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Mission Church in Springvale with the Rev. Mike Moran officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment at St. Mary's Mission Church Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
