Tony Lee Blonigen, 44, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1969 in Fond du Lac, the son of Wayne V. Blonigen and Carol L. Schneider.On August 7, 1999 he married Christy L. Peterson at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. He was a graduate of Fond du Lac Goodrich High School. Tony was employed as an assembler with Oshkosh Truck for the past 13 years. He was baptized in the Catholic religion and lived a Christian life. He enjoyed fantasy football and the Green Bay Packers. Tony was a wonderful husband, and a loving daddy. He was very determined and gave a great fight not to leave us.He is survived by his wife, Christy; his daughter, Hailey; his son, Carter; his mother, Carol Schneider, North Fond du Lac; his father, Wayne (Christine) Blonigen, North Fond du Lac. He is further survived by three grandmothers, Betty, Mary and Marie; one brother, Thomas Blonigen, Fond du Lac; two step brothers, John and Joe Kelley, Fond du Lac; mother-in-law, Linda Peterson, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law, Jeremy (Tyne) Peterson, Valders; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by four grandfathers; two grandmothers; and his father-in-law, Terry Peterson.
The visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Henning officiating. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Tony's memory.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Agnesian Hospice Nurses, Greta, Coleen, Mary K., Jane B., and to Oshkosh Truck, Agnesian co-workers, family and friends who have helped during this difficult time.
