Valora L. "Val" Buehler

April 16, 1920 — November 6, 2004

Valora L. "Val" Buehler, 84, formerly of 26 S. Kayser Street, and currently a resident of St. Francis Terrace for the past month, died Saturday, November 6, 2004, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born April 16, 1920, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Fred and Della LeMieux Auchue. On August 26, 1940, she married Alvin B. "Al" Buehler at St. Louis Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2004. Mrs. Buehler was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Patrick's Church, and St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society. Before her marriage, she was a waitress at the original Schreiner's Restaurant. After her marriage, she became a homemaker and volunteer, helping at Catholic Social Services and St. Francis Home. Val enjoyed baking, bowling, and playing cards, and was an avid Packers and Bucks fan.Surviving are three daughters: Sally (Thomas) Herre of Racine, WI, Diane (Charles) Lantry of Homewood, IL, and Paula (Lawrence) Herlache of Grafton, WI, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a cousin, Guy Freeman, of Fond du Lac. Her parents, husband, and four brothers, Neil, Vern, Raphael "Red", and Clayton, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Valora L. "Val" Buehler will be on Thursday, November 11, 2004, from 9:00 to 10:45 am at St. Francis Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:45 am on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at St. Francis Home Chapel. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Francis Home.
