Verlyn R. Stollfus

Verlyn R. "Sugar" Stollfus, age 80 of W7485 Lincoln Road, Van Dyne, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Eldorado on July 26, 1927 the son of Harvey and Mildred White Stollfus. On February 22, 1950 he married Lorraine M. Aller at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Verlyn was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany from November 6, 1945 to March 14,1947. He was a life-long union carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wildlife, birds, squirrels, camping, and reading especially western authors. Verlyn loved his family and enjoyed helping them with his carpenter skills. He was a member of the Wisconsin Carpenter's Union.He is survived by his wife Lorraine M. Stollfus, Van Dyne, six children, Gregory J. (Terry) Stollfus, Fond du Lac, Susan C. (Michael) Kaufman, Waupun, Pamelia A. (Dan) Blackburn, Fond du Lac, Corey P (Doreen) Stollfus, Fond du Lac, Joy M. (Steve) Hankwitz, Malone and Joe P. (Donna) Stollfus, Fond du Lac. He is further survived by fifteen grandchildren, Jamie (Althea) Culver, Jenna Ninneman, Brian (Tara) Wendt, Keith (Aimee) Wendt, Andrew (Diane) Wendt, Carey (Greg) Schwebke, Heather (Shawn) Blackburn, Tiffany (Kyle) Blackburn, David Blackburn, Julia, Madeline, and Bridget Stollfus, Lori and Scott Hankwitz, and JoAnna Stollfus. Verlyn is further survived by six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, Alana, Abigail, and twins Quinten and Evan. He is survived by a brother Irwin (Doloras) Stollfus, Krakow, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Alvin.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Deacon Paul Monzel officiating. Burial will follow at Rosendale Cemetery.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
