Vernon P. Pressnell

Vernon P. Pressnell, age 67 of 126 15th Street, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 24, 1941 the son of Vernon and Vivian Pressnell. Vernon graduated from Central High School in Columbus. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force spending 4 ½ years in the United States and England. He enjoyed working in Fond du Lac but after having two strokes he had to retire from J & C Printing. On October 1, 1966 he married Marlene Bredlau and they have been together for 42 years. Vernon has been a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an usher for a number of years. He had an interest in real and radio-controlled planes, and enjoyed collecting things. Vernon was a past member of EAA and IAC where he volunteered at air shows. He also enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle.SURVIVORS: Vernon is survived by his wife Marlene Pressnell, three sons, Shaun (Cindy) Pressnell, and Colin Pressnell all of Fond du Lac, Jeremy (Mary Ann) Pressnell, Mount Calvary, and a granddaughter Amanda, Mount Calvary. Two sisters and their families in the Columbus, Ohio area also survives him. His mother-in-law Irma Bredlau, Fond du Lac and two sister-in-laws Julie (Joel)Breitzman, Mosinee, Glenda (Jim) Mamerow, Berlin, a brother-in-law, Paul (Jackie) Bredlau, Hudson, Florida. Nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and friends further survive him. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, daughter-in-law Kelly Pressnell.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. with Reverend Shari Routh officiating. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church-Building Fund or Hospice Home of Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
