Vernon R. Thielman

Vernon R. Thielman, Sr. of Oakfield, Wi. formerly,of Antigo, died Oct. 10, 2011 in Fond du Lac under Hospice Home of Hope after a battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 14, 1942 in Antigo, A son of Donald G. and Edna (Drew) Theilman. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1961. He married the former Barbara Omernick, from who he was later divorced. He then married the former Patricia Batson, who survives. Survivors besides his wife include four daughters, Theresa Issac of Palmer, Alaska, Peggy Thielman of Shawano,WI Tammy (Roy) Liehergen of Krakow, WI and Jamie Thielman at home. Three sons, Michael Thielman and special friend (Shirley) of Antigo, WI; Veron Jr. of Oakfield, WI, and Thomas of Florida. Two sisters, Joyce (Gust) Ullman of Deerbrook, WI; and Helen Ullman of Aniwa, WI; and one brother Myron (Judy) Theilman of Aniwa, WI. He is further survived by a step-mother, Carol R. Thielman of SunPrairie, WI; a half-sister, Laurie Lanier of Virginia, Two Half-brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Thielman of Oregon WI, and Darwin (Shannon) Thielman of Madison. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by several aunts, numerous cousins, neices and nephews in the Antigo area. Special friends Barbie and Randy Krohn of Berlin, WI, and Lance Kintzler of Oakfield, WI., and many others. He was preceded in by his parents, and a brother Arlie Theilman.



Visitation will be held on Monday Oct. 17, 2011 from 11 to 1 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM with Joe Hess officiating.
