Victor E. Knipple

Victor E. Knipple, 85, of W5702 Guindon Blvd, Town of Fond du Lac, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at his residence. He was born November 16, 1922, in Kellner, WI, the son of Emil and Emma Gussel Knipple. On March 22, 1944, he married Lorraine Fredrick in Sioux Falls, SD. Mr. Knipple was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945. After being discharged from service, he started Don & Vic's TV Antenna Service. In 1951, he joined Gross Common Carrier and was employed for 39 years, retiring in 1990. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, dining out, spending time with family, and belonging to various card clubs.Surviving is his wife, Lorraine, a son, Jack (Jan) Knipple of Fond du Lac, a son-in-law, Jerry (Joan) Krug of West Bend, seven grandchildren, Tami (Mike) Turner, and Andy Krug, both of Fond du Lac, Amy Knipple of Blain, MN, Vicki (Ben) Olson of Chula Vista, CA, Jenna Knipple of Nekoosa, WI, and Tyler and Kelsey Knipple, both of Fond du Lac, and two great-granddaughters, Nicole and Hannah Turner of Fond du Lac. His parents, a daughter, Patsy Krug, a son, Tom Knipple, three sisters, and a brother preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Victor E. Knipple will be on Thursday, May 22, 2008, from 10am to 1 pm at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 1 pm at the church on Thursday. The Rev. David Lieske will officiate and entombment will be in the Veterans Garden of Honor, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
