Viola "Vi" Emerich

VIOLA EMERICHVIOLA "Vi" EMERICH, 93, formerly of W2603 Silica Road, Fond du Lac, and a current resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for the past 2 ½ years, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the home. She was born February 1, 1918 in Clark, Nebraska, the daughter of George and Anna Lefeber Jurgensmier. On June 23, 1936 she married Alfred Emerich at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg. She was a member of St. Peter Church of Holy Family Parish. She was a lifetime member of the Christian Mothers. Vi enjoyed dancing, snowmobiling, playing cards, fishing, and sturgeon spearing with her husband. SURVIVORS: two children, Roseann "Tudy" Mand, St. Peter and Jim (Pat) Emerich, Mt. Calvary; nine grandchildren, Richard (Jackie) Mand, Janet (Mike) Schnieder, Paul (Lisa) Mand, Jeff (Arlene) Mand, Mike (Lisa) Emerich, Mark (Debbie) Emerich, Dan Emerich, Matt (Sharon) Emerich, Chuck Balnis; twelve great grandchildren, Jennifer, Samanatha, Dylan, Sierra, Hayden, Ashley, Kyle, Hailey, Cody, Kelsey, Blake, and Kiana; three great great grandchildren, Jaanika, Jelena, and Jurista; one sister-in-law, Cecelia Blake, Lomira; one godson, Vern Kraus, Kenosha; special friend, Mark Mareese, Brownsville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son-in-law, Paul Mand; brothers and sisters.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“ 5:30 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 5:30 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Entombment will take place in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
