Virgil E. Phelps

Virgil E. Phelps, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. He was born the son of Fredrick R. and Mattie M. Brow Phelps on January 20, 1920 in Waupun. Virgil served in the U. S. Army from December 1941 to March 1948. On November 30, 1946 he married Meta Hess at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Brandon, WI. Virgil worked for Wells Manufacturing for 30 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his dogs and spending time on the lake. Virgil has no immediate survivors. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating.
