Virginia C. Kempf

Virginia C. Kempf, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Kindred Hearts, Fond du Lac. She was born the daughter of Edward J. and Laura V. Bussie Immel on May 10, 1920 in Fond du Lac. Virginia married William J. Amidon in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1945. She then married Francis L. "Corky" Kempf on June 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1984. Virginia worked for Mercury Marine for over 20 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fond du Lac. Virginia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, baking, bowling and loved dancing and music.SURVIVORS: five children, Keith Amidon, Joplin, MO, Judy Hall, Maryville, MO, David (Rose Cleveland) Kempf, Fond du Lac, Sue Kempf, Tucson, AZ, Linda (Bob) Theyerl, Fond du lac; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Amidon, Fond du Lac; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Genevieve Immel, Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, William and Francis, a son, William Amidon, and two brothers, LaVerne Immel and Ote Immel.



VISITATION: will be from 3-7 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 9 "“ 10 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Williams officiating.
