Virginia F. Reimer, 82, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born October 11, 1929, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Orville J. and Martha Miller. On February 14, 1948, she married Wattamar B. Reimer in Fond du Lac. Virginia was a member of the Church of Peace. A woman of many interests, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crafting, making pillowcases, Country and Christian music, going to church, Billy Graham books, donating to St. Jude, the Heart Association, and veteran's charities, camping, and most importantly, her family. Surviving are her husband, Wattamar, four daughters, Karen Smith of Sheboygan, Lori (Steven) Krueger of Markesan, Tina Anderson of Nicholasville, KY, and Francine (Jonathan Ruel) Reimer of Fond du Lac, two sons, Walter (Tammy) Reimer of Ripon, and Shane (Christine) Reimer of Fond du Lac, 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Lola Shady of Waupun, a sister-in-law, Elaine Miller of Fond du Lac, and her long-time friends, Frank and Gloria Sass of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Carol Ebert, two sons-in-law, Bernard Ebert and Bruce Smith, five brothers, Orville, Henry, Herman, Marty, and Virgil, two sisters, Edna Resop and Eleanor Pflum.
Visitation for Virginia F. Reimer will be on Monday, April 9, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday, April 10th from 10 to 11 AM at the Church of Peace, 158 S. Military Road, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the church. Revs. Jennifer C.M. Dawson and James F.D. Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
