Virginia M. Barnes, 89 formerly of 101 Western Avenue, Apt.101A died Friday, August 24, 2012 at Manor Care Heath Services where she had been a resident for the past year. Virginia was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on March 24, 1923 the daughter of Preston and Lillian Sickles Mann. On July 15, 1944 she married Willard E. Barnes, Sr in Fond du Lac. Willard preceded her in death in 1970. She worked at Tasty Bakery, Fond du Lac, Swiss Colony, Sun Prairie, Rosendale Canary, Rosendale, Cal-Can, Lomira. Virginia loved playing cards, playing bingo and attending the Tuesday Sewing Club. She was a member of the Bahai Faith.SURVIVORS: Virginia is survived by her thirteen children, Edward (Ruth) Barnes, Fond du Lac, Sharon Minnick, Fond du Lac, Georgiana (Mike) Enfelt, Fond du Lac, Willard (Sylvia) Barnes, San Antonio, TX, Bruce Barnes, Beaver Dam, Wynard (Betty) Barnes, Louisville, KY,Roy (Vicki) Barnes, Fond du Lac, Pauline Barnes, Fond du Lac, Paul Barnes, Fond du Lac, Vernon Barnes, Fond du Lac, Jay (Diane) Barnes, Clearwater, FL, James (Patti) Barnes, Wilmette, IL, Cherrie (Gary) Hall, Lamar, ARK. Virginia is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law Richard Wondra, Campbellsport, and one sister Marge Goestch, Neillsville. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Barbara, daughter Renee Wondra, four brothers Earl, Raymond, Charlie and Robert Mann, one sister Mary Ellen (David) Luedke.



VISITATION: Private family viewing will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 prior to processing to Rienzi Cemetery.FUNERAL: Graveside services will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Rienzi Cemetery, Town of Empire, Fond du Lac.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
