Walter E. Laborde

Walter E. "Wally" LaBorde, age 96, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1909 in Fond du Lac the son of Jesse and Bessie Brown LaBorde. On August 28, 1937 he married Lillian Bartel at St. Mary's Church, Fond du Lac. Walter graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1927. He graduated from Coyne Electrical School in 1929. Walter was employed at Bell and Howell in Chicago, IL and retired from there. Wally was a member of Holy Family Parish. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. SURVIVORS: his wife Lillian of sixty eight years of marriage, one sister in law, Alice LaBorde of Merrill, WI, one brother in law, Ervin Bartel of Fond du Lac, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Walter Jr., and one sister, Lillian Diedrich and one brother Wayne LaBorde.



VISITATION: Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. FUNERAL: Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum with the Reverend Edward Sippel officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment to take place at the mausoleum. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
