Warren B "Butch" Buehler

Warren 'Butch' Buehler, 63 of Fond du Lac formerly of Kevil KY, passed away unexpectedly June 7, 2009 at his home.He was born August 1, 1945 in Greenville Michigan, and was adopted at a young age by Don and Rose Buehler. Upon graduating high school he proudly served in the United States Air Force for two tours in Vietnam. After deciding the civilian life was not for him he joined the Coast Guard and was on an Icebreaker 'The Northwind' for 3 '/2 years. In 1977 they went as far north as the 70th parallel, setting a ship record because no ship had ever gone that far north before. His Coast Guard career took him to Baltimore Maryland where he met and married Sally. He received orders to relocate to Paducah Kentucky where he retired on June 28, 1979; He was a Unit Operator at Tennessee Valley Authority and retired in 1998 in order to move to Wisconsin to be closer to his first grandchild.Butch was an avid reader and always had a book by his bed. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, tending to his vegetable garden, spending time with his family, and he was an excellent cook. One of his greatest joys in life was his grandchildren and he always had a special treat for them.He is survived by his wife of 31 years Sally; two daughters Sabrina (Mike) Lange, of Fond du Lac, and Kimberly Sanborn (special friend Dick Schwartz) of Fond du Lac, two grandchildren Austin and Sadie.



Visitation will be held on Thursday June 11 from 9-11 am at Uecker-Witt funeral home in Fond du Lac with a memorial service immediately following. The Rev. Michael Morning will officiate.
