Wayne A. Huberty, at the age of 73, Wayne passed away at his home in Johnsburg. He was born and raised in Mt. Calvary the son of Clarence and Marie (Berenz) Huberty. Wayne served in the United States Army in his younger years. He was a painter by trade, and has always been an outdoorsman, known by many as one of the best marksmen around. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, one year spearing a record sturgeon, longer and heavier than himself. Wayne also spent a great deal of time in his later years gardening, making sturgeon spears, and repairing small engines.SURVIVORS: his mother, Marie, brother, Robert, sisters, Carol, Kathleen, Michelle, Jean, and Lucille, as well as his children, Sharon, Wayne, Rose Marie, and Randy. Wayne also has six grandchildren ranging in age from thirteen to twenty-one. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Huberty.
In honor of Wayne's simple, nature orientated life; a church memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 7:45 P.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mt. Calvary with the Reverend Gary Keegstra officiating. Friends may gather at the church beginning at 7:15 P.M. Cremation has taken place.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
