Wayne J. Birschbach

Wayne J. Birschbach, 82, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at SSM Hospice Home of Hope. He was born June 17, 1940, in Mt. Calvary, the son of Walter and Antonia (Lauby) Birschbach. Wayne was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School. After graduating, Wayne served in the U.S. Army. On April 4, 1964, he married Michele Osier at St. Mary’s Church, Fond du Lac. Wayne worked at Mercury Marine for 30 plus years until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Fond du Lac. Being raised on a farm, Wayne loved to work. He liked to do anything outside whether it was weeding, blowing leaves, or cutting the grass. He liked doing carpentry work and loved his dog, Sami-D.

He is survived by his wife, Michele; six siblings, Ralph Birschbach, Betty Jane (James) Costello, Roger Birschbach, Gordon Birschbach, Roseann (David) Faucher, and Paul (Nancy) Birchbach; sister-in-law, Pat Birschbach; and nephew, Jonathon Birschbach. He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Henry Birschbach and Delores Ecker; and two sisters-in-law, Maryann and Barbara Birschbach.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church, Fond du Lac, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow the visitation at church at 1:00 PM with military honors to follow. Burial to take place at St. Charles Cemetery.
