Wayne P. Lohse

Wayne P. Lohse, age 74, of 377 Thomas St, Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1934 in Fond du Lac, the son of Lawrence and Mildred (Wuest) Lohse. Wayne's mother died when he was two, and was raised by his father Lawrence and his stepmother Georgia. Wayne served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On May 17, 1957 he married Ethel Drolshagen in Waukegan, IL. Wayne worked for RB Royal Industries until retirement. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75, charter member of Lost Arrow Club, Princeton Rod and Gun Club, and the NRA. He will be remembered for his quick wit. Wayne enjoyed boating, deer hunting, and turkey hunting. He loved nature and took great pleasure in the woods and water around his cottage. Wayne was very proud of his country and his military service. SURVIVORS: his devoted wife, Ethel of Fond du Lac, loving daughter, Dawn (Merl) Albert of Fond du Lac, cherished granddaughters, Jessica Albert of Tarzana, CA, and Amanda Albert of Milwaukee, two brothers, Larry (Lou) Lohse of Fond du Lac, David (Christine) Lohse of Fond du Lac, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Lawrence and Georgia Lohse, and his mother, Mildred Lohse.



VISITATION: Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Jon Cox officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at Lyons Forest Home Cemetery, Town of Forest. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad will conduct military graveside honors.The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Darrell Hay, Dr. Richard Santa-Cruz, Dr. Richard Windsor, and the entire 3rd floor staff at St. Agnes Hospital.
