Wayne R. Peterson

Wayne Robert Peterson, 70, of 282 Southlake Circle, Fond du Lac, passed on to eternal life on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his wife and daughters. Born on August 30, 1936, in Milwaukee, he was the oldest son of Clarence and Bernadette Peterson. He married Janet Schmidt on May 28, 1966, in Milwaukee. Wayne worked as a purchasing agent for the steel industry for 49 years. In his free time, the avid Packer fan enjoyed camping with his family and playing golf. He especially treasured spending time as 'Papa' to his two grandchildren. He was also a member of the Fond du Lac Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet; his two daughters, Christine Peterson of Green Bay and Karen (Paul) Letourneau of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Trevor and Taylor Letourneau; and seven brothers and sisters, Roger (Mary Jane) Peterson, Art (Barbara) Peterson, Joanne O'Brian, Neil Peterson, Phyllis (Bill) Ray, Keith Peterson, and Diana (Mark) Rossmann.



Visitation: Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb 16 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave., Fond du Lac. Services: The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Uecker-Witt funeral home, with Pastor David Lieske officiating. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
