Wendy Jane Meyers

Wendy Jane Meyers, age 77, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 6, 1940, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Wendell S. and Dorothy L. (Simantzig) Meyers. Wendy earned a BS in Elementary Education from Marian College in 1962 and was a second and third grade teacher in the Green Bay, Manitowoc, and Fond du Lac School Districts until retirement. She finished her career at Parkside Elementary School in Fond du Lac. Wendy was well known in the area for dog obedience and agility training skills, and owned German Shorthair Pointers throughout her lifetime. Wendy enjoyed gathering each week with her longtime teaching associates and other educators.



Survivors include one sister, Judith A. (Dean) Luedtke of Montello; two nephews, Scott T. Luedtke of Brookside Village, TX, David D. (Amber) Luedtke of Bloomer, WI; special friends, Doris A. Fryman, Mary Council Austin, and Bonnie Rateike, all of Fond du Lac; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and other relatives and friends.



Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and interment is at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
