Wilbert J. Gulig

Wilbert J. Gulig, 89, formerly of 332 Maple Avenue, and a resident of the Woodlands for the past three years, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born March 30, 1917, in Fond du Lac, the son of Joseph and Gertrude Klapperich Gulig. On June 22, 1950, he married Elsie Clewien in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on April 1, 1968. Mr. Gulig was a bookkeeper at the Retlaw Hotel, Wist Auto Sales, and Giddings & Lewis from where he retired. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army.Surviving are two sons, Gary Gulig of Fond du Lac, and Robert Gulig of Appleton, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Klippel of Sun Prairie, Heidi (Fiance' Robert Leonoff) Gulig of Green Bay, and Kevin Gulig of Green Bay. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Frieda and Elizabeth Clewien, both of Princeton, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Herbert Gulig, Edward Gulig, Anthony Gulig, Alex Gulig, Eleanor Krug, Leona Ryan, Marie Richter, Regina Wagner, and Dolores Gulig, two nieces, Patricia Ryan and Nancy Steinke.



Visitation for Mr. Wilbert J. Gulig will be on Saturday, February 3, 2007, from 10 to 11 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 11 am at the funeral home on Saturday. Deacon Ricardo Munoz of Holy Family Parish will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
