Wilbur L. "Bill" Friess

Wilbur "Bill" L. Friess, 83, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the son of Robert A. and Mildred M. Dufore Friess. Bill was a graduate of Goodrich High School. He served in the U. S. Navy Hospital Corps from 1944 "“ 1946. On October 25, 1947 he married Elaine E. Bohlman at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked for the phone company for twenty-one years retiring in 1986. He was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church since 1947 and Telephone Pioneers of America for over 30 years. Bill enjoyed bowling, fishing and doing crossword puzzles.SURVIVORS: his wife, Elaine; nieces and nephews, Dan (Phyllis) Gilmore of Waukesha, Sandra (Bob) Zickau of Phoenix, AZ, Scott Pickart of Flagstaff, AZ, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Tim Friess.



VISITATION: Monday, January 10, 2011 from 9-10 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Shari Routh officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
