William A. Ballard

William A. "Bill" Ballard, 72, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. He was born October 9, 1936 in Fond du Lac, the son of Alvin and Gladys Smith Ballard. Bill was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Rogersville, WI. He was an independent over the road truck driver for more than 30 years. Bill enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Nascar, over the road trucking, and especially spending time with family and friends. SURVIVORS: his former wife and friend, Pat Langacker, Fond du Lac; three daughters, Cindi (Melvin) Liegl, Grafton, Jackie (Dan) Lehman, Fond du Lac, Vickie (John) Ramirez, Franklin; six grandchildren, Jason (Andrea) Liegl, Jeremy (Angela) Boeder, Erica (Dave) Nusberger, Danny Boeder, Anna and Casey Ramirez; two great grandchildren, Logan and Madison Boeder; one sister, Nancy (Eugene) Pfalzgraf, Oakfield; one sister-in-law, Maggie Ballard, Fond du Lac; one brother-in-law, Pat Howard, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ann Marie; one sister, Beverly Howard; one brother, Dale Ballard; one nephew, "Big" Mike Howard.



VISITATION: will be from 1 "“ 4 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10 "“ 11 AM at church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 1, 2009 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
