William B. Schaub

William B. Schaub, age 79, of 428 Pine Tree Drive, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, November 27, 2011. He was born on January 23, 1932 in Oakfield, the son of Ingnatz and Catherine (Blattener) Schaub. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War and then served in the Marine Corps. On November 13, 1954 he married Gladys I. Rose at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2007. William worked as a truck driver for miscellaneous freight companies for forty years.He was a life member of the following: The Army National and Wisconsin Chapter Chosen Few, Marine Corps 553 McCollum Kimple Chapter, Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75, D.A.V. Post 11, V.F.W., Post 1904, the Marine Corps League, Forest Sportsmen Club, North American Sportsmen Hunting Club, and the N.R.A.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Barbara (Allen) Ditter of Neenah, three sons, John (longtime friend Adrian VanRoy) Schaub of Appleton, James Schaub of Fond du Lac, Steven (Mona) Schaub of Texas, six grandchildren, two sisters, Eleanore Chapman of Fond du Lac, and Ann Thurk of Fond du Lac, sister in law, Betty Schaub of Fond du Lac, brother in law, David Whitty of Brownsville, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys, two daughters, Laurie Nangle, Catherine Schaub, five brothers, and four sisters.



VISITATION: Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 3-5 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to benefit Disabled Veterans.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
