William J. Braun

William Joseph Braun, age 59, Van Dyne, passed away on January 19, 2009 at UW-Madison Hospital. He was born on May 30, 1949 in Fond du Lac, the son of Sylvester "Sonny" and Elizabeth (DeNell) Braun. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a life long employee of Roto-Graphic Printing, Inc. His passion was the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and sturgeon spearing. He also was an excellent craftsman and a "jack of all trades", master of many. His children, grandchildren, and siblings were a significant part of his life, as were his many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.SURVIVORS: his son, Shane (Jeanette) Braun of Oshkosh, two daughters, Keri Braun of Florida, and Megan Braun of Van Dyne, five grandchildren, Fuller, Landon, Keagan, Trenton, and Madisyn, his brother, Robert (Theresa) Braun of Rhode Island, and sister, Barb (William) Pinto of Fond du Lac, three nephews, two nieces, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, and his stepmother, Lillian (Olson) Braun.



VISITATION: The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, January 23, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's name may be directed to the UW Hospital and Clinics Fund, or Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, Inc.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
