William J. Dougherty, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born the son of William and Leona Dougherty on February 1, 1929 in Milwaukee. On June 5, 1960 William married Betty L. Blundon in Illinois. He was a veteran of the US Army serving after the Korean War. He retired in 1980 as a cross-country truck driver. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving stock cars. He also loved to build radio control model airplanes. SURVIVORS: his wife Betty, two daughters, Linda (Karl) LaDue, NY, Laura (Scott) Jacobson, Janesville, WI; one son, Lawrence (Nancy) Fraser, Franklin, WI; four grandchildren, Tracy (Perry) Moehle, Angela (Andrew) Stafford, Jamie LaDue, and Nicholas Jacobson; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Phillip Dougherty, Black River Falls, WI; and nieces and nephews. His parents, a son Leon and three sisters preceded him in death.
VISITATION: will be held from 11am "“ 1pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Uecker- Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Brent Balken officiating. Cremation has taken place. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
