William J. Grainger, 79, formerly of 115 Walnut Street, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where he had been a resident for the past three years. He was born April 18, 1927, in Fond du Lac, the son of William H. and Alice Ayer Grainger. Mr. Grainger was formerly employed by Sadoff Iron and Metal before retiring in July 31, 1989. Surviving are three sisters; Beverly (Joseph) Brown of Thiensville, WI, Geraldine "Geri" (Raymond) Hass of The Villages, FL, and Sharon Grainger of Fond du Lac, two brothers, David (Joann) Grainger of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kenneth (Peggy) Grainger of Stillwater, OK. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews. His parents, two sisters, Betty Klebs and Sandra Grainger, and two brothers, Robert and Gary D., preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. William J. Grainger will be on Friday, March 2, 2007, from 1 to 3 pm at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, 244 N. Macy Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Friday, March 2nd at the Lutheran Home. The Rev. Dean Desilet will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
