William J. Lamb, 76, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at his residence. He was born July 22, 1938, in Fond du Lac, the son of Francis and Vida Redlin Lamb. Mr. Lamb was formerly employed as an auto mechanic working for Gibson Chevrolet, Dittrich Buick, Deising Pontiac, and Bergstrom Motors from where he retired. He was an always proud Marine serving with the Corps from November 5, 1956 to November 4, 1959. Bill was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars.
Surviving is a son, William B. (Terri) Lamb of Fond du Lac, a daughter, Shelley (Brent) Pagel of Shawano, eight grandchildren, Taylor, Meghan, Brooke, Gage, Alexandria, Brandon, Mason, and Payton. He is further survived by a brother, Fran (Marion) Lamb of Rockford, MI, and a special friend, Kay Stubbe, of Fond du Lac. His parents and a sister, Helen Schroeder, preceded him in death.
Visitation for William J. Lamb will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Friday, June 19th, from 9:30 to 11 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM at the church on Friday. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
