William J. PostWilliam J. Post, 67, a resident of Eden and formerly of Milwaukee died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at his residence. William was born June 24, 1937, a son of George and Verna Kohl Post. On August 11, 1994 he married Marilyn Feiereisen. William was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he worked as an M.P. He worked for 20 years for the Glendale Police Department as a patrolman and investigator. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and loved fishing, photography, and spending time at their campsite on Long Lake. Survivors include his wife; Marilyn of Eden, four children; Mary (Joseph) Rhienschmidt and their children Michael Post and Anthony Rheinschmidt, John Post, William Post and his children Nicholas, Ashley, and Christopher Post, and Mark (Jody) Post and their children Andrew and Ryan Post, six step-children; Ronald (Lisa) Shirkey, Gary (Cherie) Shirkey, Kerry (Brian) Zehren, Dan Shirkey, Mark Shirkey, Mark Shirkey, Jean (Dominic) Pinto, eight step-grandchidlren; Natalie, Nicholette, Regina, and Cassandra Shirkey, Leah and Tyler Zehren, Cody and Samantha Pinto, and his two "special girls", Patsy and Murphie. His parents preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Post will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 from 1:00-2:30 P.M. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. at the church with the Rev. Kevin Westor officiating. Cremation will follow traditional services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
