William R. Radtke

William R. Radtke, 79, of Germantown, passed away June 14, 2022 in Menomonee Falls. He was born August 7, 1942 in Fond du Lac, the son of Lester and Mildred (Galow) Radtke. He graduated from WLA. On October 18, 1964 he married Sandra Lee Roberts and began his life as a devoted husband and father.



Bill worked for Giddings & Lewis as a mechanical engineer until his retirement in 2003.



Bill had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor throughout his whole life. He loved playing cards with his wife, brother, and other family members – laughing, and earning nickels and dimes with each hand of Sheepshead. Bill enjoyed the stock market and made lifelong friends in the Lakers Investment Club. Bill and Sandy raised two boys and two dogs in a warm, loving home. When the later part of his life became difficult, Bill maintained a kind, gentle personality, and a warm humor.



He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Radtke of Sussex and Steven (Lisa) Radtke of Germantown; two grandchildren, Ethan (Paige) Radtke and Emma Radtke; sister-in-law, Carolyn Radtke; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra; and two brothers, Charles Radtke and Robert Radtke.



Come celebrate Bill’s life on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Ledgeview Memorial Park Chapel in Fond du Lac. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will take place in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
