Wilma W. Markowski, age 82, formerly of Fond du Lac, and currently of Manitowoc for the last two years, entered eternal life on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehab in Manitowoc. Wilma was born on February 3, 1929 in Ripon, the daughter of Ervin and Marie (Zellmer) Poblitz. She was a 1947 graduate of Ripon High School. On September 16, 1950 she married Vincent Markowski at St. Michael's Church in Berlin. Wilma was a member of the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and she also enjoyed traveling.She is survived by her husband Vincent Markowski of Manitowoc, her son Gary (Lynn) Markowski of Manitowoc, two grandchildren, Megan and Ethan Markowski of Manitowoc, one sister, Marlene Poblitz of Fond du Lac, brothers in law and sisters in law, Anthony (Nora) Markowski of Hudson, Barbara Shilobrit of Oshkosh, Mary Shurpit of Ripon, Frances (Robert) Grasse of Ripon, Lorraine Markowski of Appleton, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers in law and sisters in law, Alexander Shilobrit, Donald Shurpit, August, Peter, Josephine, and Genevieve Markowski.
VISITATION: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 9-11 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating.
