Founded by Harold C. Uecker and Russell A. Witt in 1961, Uecker-Witt Funeral Home & Cremation Center is one of the oldest and most prestigious Fond du Lac funeral homes. What began as a 6,200 square foot funeral home grew in 1980 and again in 1988 when Uecker-Witt expanded into the neighboring building, formerly Raymer Motor Company’s tractor factory. The addition brought the funeral home’s overall square footage to 16,000 and provided the opportunity for Uecker-Witt to open the first crematory in the area. Today, it is Fond du Lac’s largest and oldest crematory, operated by trained, licensed, and certified staff members.
In addition to our spacious funeral home and top quality crematory, Uecker-Witt is home to the best funeral professionals in the area, who treat every family with respect and kindness. The staff at our funeral home in Fond du Lac work on a case-by-case basis with each family to make sure their loved one’s services are unique, personalized, and memorable. We provide guidance and comfort for those in our care before, during, and after the services, and we know that grief can look different at each stage of that process. It is our honor to serve every family that comes to us in need.
As a funeral home in Fond du Lac, we are passionate about serving the community whenever and however we can. We often do this by supporting and donating to causes such as ASTOP, the Buttermilk Festival, the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, our local police department, fishing and hockey clubs, and so on. We have also donated brand new equipment to our Fond du Lac fire department and helped start the local warming shelter.
